Without any doubt, lunch with Friends is always a holiday highlight for Lauren.
So on Tuesday 5th July, Lauren jumped out of bed looking forward to seeing the happy smiles and the warm hugs of her very best friends…..Kate, Elise and Natalie. Pizza and pasta is usually the go and it was no different on this occasion. With talk of school, braces, future travel plans, Justin Bieber (with and without a shirt) and other bits and pieces, a great time was had by all!
Without any doubt, autism is a puzzling disorder. Amongst it’s puzzling elements is the enormous difficulties that are encountered in the experience of socialising. As a result, friendship is extremely difficult for young Lauren….as it is for many people on the spectrum. This is why we are so grateful that Lauren does have such friends.
Without any doubt, Lauren’s friends have been one of life’s absolute blessings. Kate, Elise and Natalie (as well as 3 or 4 other beautiful young girls) have allowed Lauren to experience the joy of friendship and words cannot explain the difference they have made in Lauren’s life and to who Lauren is today. In many ways, they have been Lauren’s best teachers!
Without any doubt, the mothers of these beautiful girls who have, year after year, gone to so much effort to keep this special group of girls coming together since grade prep are deserving of unparalleled praise. We think you are wonderful!
So a great afternoon was had by all……thanks girls! Lauren loved lunch….and she absolutely loves her friends!
