Friday 13th proved to be anything but unlucky for young Lauren! To her absolute delight Lauren caught up with her friends Elise, Kate and Natalie for Pizza/Pasta lunch. Lauren’s social skills remain her steepest challenge so words cannot express just the depth of my gratitude to these wonderful, gorgeous young girls(and their fantastic mothers) for their constant friendship and commitment to Lauren. As I write so sincerely and honestly in ‘Lauren’s Creed:Wings to Fly” I have no doubt that these girls have been extremely important teachers for Lauren…..and I thank them more than words can express! The affection that lies between the girls is clearly seen in the photo.

Then to make it almost the perfect day, I zipped Lauren off to Westfield Mill Park where Delta Goodrem was scheduled to perform her new single “Sitting on top of the World”. Lauren was abuzz with excitement until she saw the length of the queue!!!! Fortunately, Westfield was very well organised and they had a section for those with additional needs so we parked ourselves in that much smaller line. Delta arrived and sang her hits ‘Born to Try’ and ‘In this Life’, as well as her new single ‘Sitting on top of the World’. Then the beautiful singer came and said hello to the group we were with. Lauren was so delighted and said to Delta “I like your hair in your new film clip” which was interesting. We told Delta about Lauren’s Grade 4 Piano results and she encouraged Lauren to keep learning and playing (which was great). Delta signed Lauren’s copy of the new single and we had time for some photos and one is included below. It is such a gorgeous photo of two gorgeous young ladies. I am simply wrapt by Lauren’s eye contact in this photo!
