Grease is the word!
In December the four of us embarked on the first ‘big’ family holiday we have had for a very long time….a cruise on the Princess Dawn to New Zealand.
Lauren had the time of her life! She is a young person who knows how to have fun!
Lauren had the opportunity to participate in the onboard performance of Grease where the cast consisted of Cruise entertainers and passengers. Lauren got to play the role of Frenchy…which was very exciting!
It was all very casual but rehearsals were such fun and all the ‘Grease’ crew were just so supportive and positive and encouraging, that Lauren learnt a great deal and it was an overwhelmingly sensational experience for her. We met some of the loveliest people as a result and Lauren’s confidence and skill level continues to grow. Thank you everyone involved on the Dawn Princess for your warm embracing of Lauren. As a result of the wonderful crew who really looked out for Lauren, for one of the few times in the last 18 years I got to be in the audience (instead of thick in the middle of it or backstage supporting Lauren) – How much did I appreciate that! Needless to say, Lauren loved the whole experience! I already had tickets for her for the Melbourne show of Grease so it was just perfect!
The cruise was fabulous and we all survived being in such a small space for 13 days! Lauren swam, ate, went to show after show….all up, a fabulous experience!
